Ibrahim (A.S.) in Islamic Society
Ibrahim ibn Azar (AS) known as the Abraham in the book Hebrew Bible, is known Islam as a Prophet and a messenger of Allah and fathers or patriarchs of many people. According to Muslims Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) proved himself in all the commandments and trials which Allah tried with over his lifetime. As a result of his strongest faith in Allah. Allah promised to Ibrahim (AS) that he will be the leader to the nations of all the world.
The Quran acclaims Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) as a role model for all the Muslims. In this sense Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) “prehistoric man in universal capitulate to the Divine Reality before its shatter into religions separated from each other by differences in shape. The Islamic Holy day Eid ul Adha is celebrated in the memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) bravery of sacrifice (which was not taken by Allah, it was just to check his love for Allah) and Muslims perform Hajj and Umrah to pay homage at the Kaaba which Ibrahim and has built with the instructions of Allah.
Muslims belief that Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) became the leader of the righteous in his time and it was because of him that the people of both countries Arabia and Israel came. In the belief of Islam, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was instrumental in cleansing the world of reverence of idols at that ime. Paganism was washed out from Arabia and Canaan. He spiritually purified both places as well physically consecrating the houses of worship.
Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismael (AS) promote establishment of pilgrimage or Hajj, which are still followed by Muslims today. Muslims maintains that Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) additionally asked Allah to bless both lines of off springs of, Hazrat Ismael (AS) and Hazrat Ishaq (AS), and to keep all of his descendants in the protection of Allah. Muslims also belief that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the descendant of Abraham (AS) through Ismael (AS). Muslims used to go for Umrah 2017 to perform the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was the last prophet of Allah.
